INDI: Arsenal now a selling club, How long before it loses its great footballing reputation and sinks?
Arsene Wenger has said Arsenal need to sell every year and buy less expensive players to replace them in order to pay the club’s £24m-a-year bill for the Emirates Stadium in the media today.
Selling clubs are not known for doing well, Now is the time for the top 4 to be reshaped, do you think arsenal have got 1 more season of top 4 football or is it over for arsenal now with them having to sell a top player every season.

moan, moan, moan.they should invest in their youth academy and bring them on.
With Tottenham Hotspur already becoming a notable football power, and Manchester City following closely with their mountins of cash, Arsenal are becoming more and more under threat as the seasons go by. I personally feel that the ”big four” will come to an end within the next few seasons, leaving five or even six clubs swaping places at the top each season.Answer by RereThe old show and go baby TY!
you guys underestimate arsenal, its not that they are struggling for cash, its that they have a spending policy, if they were ever in the situation where they thought that their place in the top 4 would be in danger they would easily buy some players without even thinking, they can spend if they feel to but atm their priority is to get rid of the debt, but again of they really needed to spend big, i dont think theyd have any problem doing so.Answer by Lewis
I see Liverpool being ousted from the big 4 before Arsenal.Answer by M4rky d
as a gooner, i am worried about that statement if it’s true, but that was the consequence of moving to a bigger stadium, dont for get Liverpool will be in the same boat when they build there’s in next 3 years,Arsenal are ritcher than liverpool bye fifia’s finacial list thingy.
But soon as Arsenal recover that dept they’ll have millions to spend from bigger revenue than spurs and man city put together, Arsenal will all ways be top 4…with wenger at the helm.

I’m not even an arsenal fan, but ppl do under-estimate them.
Look at when viera left and then henry a bit later on. Lots of ppl thought arsenal wouldn’t even be in the top 4. They were first for most of the season, till the Red Devils came along, haha, oh yeah. But ya, arsenal will still do well, wenger knows how to use the young talentAnswer by chig
There is truly nothing to worry about as our youth system which no other club has one as good helps us reduce our costs drastically. Our reserves are good for top 4 quality. We may sell every year, but we also buy a new player to cover a spot that we may have given up, and a good one at that.
Don’t ever think Arsenal will be like Leeds.Answer by The Undertaker (RIP)
Arsene does have a way with youngsters. Last season was an anti-climax, but they were favourites for the Premiership and even Europe for a large part of last season.
The thing with having a young team is, there is not much age difference. Nobody can enforce their opinion based on experience. Young squads are generally close-knit.
Everybody will agree that Arsenal as a star itself is better than Thierry Henry as the lone star.
You write off Arsenal at your peril. People did that last season, and boy were they shocked. The game at Birmingham kind of derailed their season. If that didn’t happen, they would have taken the Premiership at least. They got flattened by a rallying Chelsea, and they never found their way back. This season will be better for them.
Answer by Jason CI do believe Arsenal will always be in the top 4, but they will never win the league if they have to buy and sell important players each year. If Wenger leaves, then I think Arsenal will become an ordinary team.
I actually was shocked to see Wenger made that statement. When one looks at the debts Man u is in, they don’t seem to have to sell their world-class players. I do think that Arsenal FC is saving for some other reason, maybe try to attract a takeover bid, but only time will tell.
Answer by TheAbo SBHThey will doing all right as long as Wenger is there. We know how great he is with a lot of experience about English football.Answer by step
I would be happy to see Arsenal fall away. Never before has club cared less about the game of football in its own country.
Even its chief exec wants to be allowed to keep on damaging the national side.
Answer by TapWenger just keeps pulling these young players out of the bag though, he is fantastic at getting players for bargain prices, that’s why i cant see Arsenal getting ousted from the top 4. Also Arsenal have a great home record and when you look at these challenging teams like spurs and Man City they lose far to many home games to keep up a challenge. The only thing Arsenal need to change is their wage structure if they can because they need to keep players like Adebayor and Hleb to keep improving.Answer by Julia_Gooner<3
Why does anyone belive this horsesh!t article that has come from the NOTW. Wenger and Arsenal do not associate with this paper whatsover. Doesn’t it seem a bit odd that Wenger would go to them for such an exclusive?
As usual, the English media is sh!t stirring. Wenger would never say something so absurd. Why would he want to weaken his position in the transfer market by saying something like that?
Honestly people, stop believing everything you read. Even “quotes” are unreliable these days. For example, during Euro, Wenger said something along the lines of “I am bringing my chequebook to the competition, but judging by the newspaper stories, it is not big enough.” What shows up in all the papers a few days later? Headlines like “Wenger strapped for cash,” “Wenger’s cheque book not big enough,” etc. Journalists decided it would be a much better story if they took out the middle and just quoted Wenger as saying “I am bringing my chequebook to Euro but it is not big enough.”
