It seems to be what all the cool kids are doing now !

In case you don’t know why you should:

If you are having trouble closing your account online [apparently there are so many customers leaving at the moment that the poor things can’t cope], then you can phone them at +1-888-221-1161

There are plenty of alternatives if you still need to buy online, like MyBitCoin, Liberty Reserve, WebMoney, Neteller & Moneybookers
I’m sure there are many others as well.
I wouldn’t know, because I made a preemptive strike on PayPal by never opening an account or buying anything online.

So are you going to be a part of something by supporting Wikileaks & closing down your PayPal account ?

Yahoo doesn’t seem to have a very high opinion of PayPal either !

I already had problems with PayPal when their stupid website forced my wife into the Bill Me Later option, which is basically a credit card with a very high interest rate. Total scam, and turned us off to using their services again.

No. I don’t give in to terrorists whoever they are claiming to support. Eventually these idiots will be caught and will spend a long time in gaol. What makes you think that doing the bidding of Lulz Security is any different to giving in to Al Qaeda. Anyone closing their PayPal account because of this is a coward.

I’m going to OPEN a pay-pay account to support them. They are doing the right thing preventing monies being forwarded to a terrorist support group, which is what wikileaks is.

Wikileaks has turned into an espionage organisation, offering aid and support to America’s enemies.

The are to be praised for their acts.

The FBI are a Government agency, that they have put pressure on Paypal is part of their job.

That there is an organisation which chooses to try and embarrass the USA (most of which failed as a lot of the information merely confirmed what we suspected and put USA in a good light) gets upset because they use the Law to protect their assets.

No I will not be closing my Paypal account, but i will delay opening an account with any of the others.

well all i can say is that paypal do not cover if your buying things for some nations I learnt that the other week and the item is still not delivered so i be keeping it mainly because i buy and sell on ebay and its handy if wikileaks want to be paid why don’t they use them alternatives you mention themselves could it be they are grumpy because no one wants to set up with them alternatvies you mention

I am not now, nor have I ever been, a member of this PayPal thing, whatever it is, nor have I bought or sold tat on eBay.
I much prefer the cheery hospitality of car boot sales and the discrete charm of the local charity shop.
It is, though, rather amusing to see grumpy old sods railing against a bunch of well-meaning kids on the interweb, and comparing them to terrorists … half of them will probably end up working for the US Govt when (if?) they get caught – who hacks the hackers?
