sup pimp2143: Are stocks traded on the Nasdaq and NYSE the same or different than the ones traded on the Pink Sheets?
If I take my company public on the pink sheets and sell some of my personal shares, will it be the same if I had taken my company on the nasdaq or NYSE??
I just want to make sure I will be able to receive money when me or my investors sell their stock.
Thanks and have a good 1.

If you take your company public on the pink sheets, you and any other shareholders will be able to sell their shares. However, that doesn’t mean you’ll be able to find somebody who wants to buy them at the price you want to sell them for.
Stocks that trade on the pink sheets get far less exposure to the investing public, and have far less trading volume than those that trade on the major exchanges, such as the NASDAQ and the NYSE.
Answer by A nobodyNASDAQ, NYSE, OTC (the Pink Sheets) are separate and distinct markets.
Companies pay big dollars to have their stocks listed on major exchanges, they also must have a defined number of shareholders, they are stringent accounting reporting that must be done by those firms listed on exchanges.
You personally can not “take your firm public”, you need the help of an underwriter. This process of issuing your shares publicly is a costly proposition. You will have to work the details of issuing stock with your accounting firm as well as the underwriter,
If you can get an underwriter to handle your offering, you, and your other investors will receive your money for the shares at the time of underwriting.
The underwriter, and the market maker, can and will decide what market is best for selling the stock.
If your serious about having your stock sold publicly, start the process with your accounting firm (and not the corner bookkeeper) and your attorney.
