perfect square trinomials? i’m confused. are these perfect square trinomials? if it is could you factor it? if not could you explain?
1. 49x squared – 14x + 4
2. 36 x squared – 60x – 25
3. 16x squared + 36x + 20

1. no it would be if the middle term was -28x (then (7x-2)^2
2. no since the 3rd term is a minus it cannot be
3. no since the third term is 20, not a perfect square
