M D: Is the Academy of Cinema and Television worth the money?
My kids were accepted to the Academy of Cinema and Television. I would like to hear from someone who has been through the program. Was it worthwile? Did you get any work from the auditions? Would you say it is a scam?

The Google search engine is blanketed with a lot of comments about AoC&T posted by AoC&T, but precious little from any independent source.
I presume that this is for their program in Phoenix. I recommend you contact theater people in Phoenix (perhaps community theaters and high school theater departments) for recommendations for training.

The Academy of Cinema and Television is one of the most exclusive private performing arts places in Phoenix. It is awsome.
i didn’t get accepted in time to go to the recent International Modeling and Talent Association’s Convention in LA, but several of the kids in my acting class went. They got to compete against hundreds and hundreds of other kids from all over the United States. The ACT kids kicked butt!
The kids said they got to meet Hollywood agents, casting directors and even some celebrities. i no one girl drove to LA last week to meet a talent agent that judged her win in acting competition. The agent is going to get her jobs. Go look at this page and you can see who won and the names of kids that got call backs to see agents and stuff. Here is a link:
I’m glad my parents are paying for me to go. My acting teacher is wonderful and he has his own TV show called The Unjust. He is great!
I guess parents have to be careful about scams and their kids. But this is a real school and students get to do real stuff in front of agents and casting directors. Movie stars even come to the school and talk to the kids and parents.
